You Otter Not Miss This!!!

Join us for a gentle, low, slow-flow yoga class with our adorable otters- yes! Real otters doing yoga right beside (and sometimes on top of) us!!!!

Expect laughter, light movement, and a splash of pure unfiltered joy during this one-of-a-kind experience located at Westmeister Farms in Shelby, Ohio. -$80 per person. Ticket required.

-Located at Westmeister Farms- 4097 Plymouth Springmill Rd. Shelby, Ohio. Parking is available. please note location, we are a virtual studio ONLY and have no studio location despite what google says. This class takes place at the farm.

-Doors open at 815am, please wait in your car until doors open.

-Class is from 815am-930am

-Bring a mat and/or towel.

-Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. No jewelry permitted or hair accessories: including clips, claws, headbands, bobby pins, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. Anything that can be removed is not permitted.

-Ages 10 and up. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent who also purchased a ticket for themselves.

-Future dates and tickets are released 1-2 months in advance. We run anywhere from 4-10 classes a month from March -November on scattered Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays only.

-Advanced tickets are REQUIRED. Absolutely no walk ins or spectators. (Your receipt acts as your ticket. We check you in on our roster)

-Only 10 people per class

-If it says class is FULL by the date then it is sold out. If there is no button next to the class then tickets were not released yet, keep checking back.

*Due to the popularity of this class, refunds are NOT permitted. Tickets are only good for the date purchased; we cannot move anyone to a different date.

We understand life happens, so we will accept ticket transfers to a different person. Simply email trish@metasoulyogastudio.com with the new name from the original email you purchased the tickets with.

-Please note, ticket transfers are only good for the SAME date that you purchased. ex: If you purchased an event/class for 11/25; that ticket is only good for 11/25.

*There has been mat causalities!!!! Otters are very playful and see everything as toys. Flimsier mats have been torn. Please do not bring gym mats with stuffing inside as they may tear these open and pull out the stuffing. We are not responsible for any damages to your property that you bring into the enclosure so ensure you're not bringing anything of high value to you.

*The enclosure is indoors. This event is rain or shine.

-There is a bathroom on the premises

-We will not be in the pool with the otters, but you may get wet from them splashing in their water bowl.

-Remove everything from your pockets prior to entering the enclosure. They will take items. There is adequate space to keep belongings in that is safe. You do not need to bring a lock.

• ***- NO jewelry is permitted. This includes earrings, bobby pins, hair clips, watches, body jewelry, necklaces, clip in or tape hair extensions, bracelets, etc... they can and do take these things off. They can unscrew things, open clasps, and unzip. It is VERY difficult to get these items away from them and they'll become protective making it a safety issue for yourselves and our handlers who have to retrieve these things. It is also a liability to the otters - our furry friends could choke on these items, damage teeth, or swallow them causing harm. Anyone who refuses to remove jewelry will be asked to participate outside of the enclosure.

-You may bring a phone for photos and videos!!! The otters will grab phones, and they may chew on certain cases or remove them. By choosing to bring your phone in, you are assuming all responsibility for it, and we are not liable. ...We will take photos during the event and help you capture some great moments you'll cherish for a lifetime!!!!

Please note, I am teaching yoga and the handler is maintaining safety, therefore we cannot guarantee to capture every single moment; we do take anywhere from 150-180 photos though, so we get most of them. Do not have credit cards or papers or any items in your phone case. Pop sockets are not allowed in the enclosure.

*This class is beginner-friendly. Kids are permitted 10+ with an adult present. Kids must be able to adhere to all rules with respect to the animals, the other yogis in attendance, and the experience as a whole. We don't allow spectators. With this being an animal experience every child must have a parent present with them who also purchased a ticket for the duration of the activity, trust me...you'll feel like a kid too!

Any child (or adult) who is unable to follow directions or is a safety concern for any reason may be told to participate outside the enclosure. It is up to the discretion of the otter handler to determine this-not the parents or participants. Safety is our top priority for you and the animals. Please trust their expertise on the matter and listen to them if they ask you to remove yourself or your child. In the extremely rare event we do need to remove a participant, trust there is very good reason and we are doing so so that you do not get injured.

• This is a class with live animals. Your enjoyment is important to us; however, the otters' enjoyment is our top priority. We do not pose or place our otters-we allow them free will so they continue to enjoy class with us. We have never had a class where they did not interact with everyone at least once, but we cannot guarantee you they will be paying the most attention to you or interact with you specifically.

• Otters do not like being forced into anything, picked up, or made to feel trapped- and we honor their boundaries. All photos you see are 100% natural (which is pretty awesome!) and we will always keep it that way out of respect for the animals. Thank you for understanding this. Sometimes there's certain people they gravitate towards, sometimes there's certain areas they hang out in more, sometimes they take otter naps, and sometimes they have a lot of energy and it is otter chaos. There is no way for us to predict how they will be for any given class. We will always refuse to try to force them to be anything other than their amazing selves.

• Thank you for understanding this and for also allowing our favorite little cuddle potatoes to be who they are-actual live otters who are free to do as much, or as little, as they please. We are the only place in the world that allows you to do yoga inside of an otter enclosure...so come in just ready to be present and truly enjoy the experience as it is that day without expectations from them. You're in for an otter treat!

• This is an animal encounter/experience. We take every precaution to ensure safety ;hence this long email, our briefing prior to entering the enclosure, and waivers. Even though we put these measures in place, have a handler in the space with us at all times, and the otters are extremely socialized, they are still wild animals. By purchasing a ticket, attending our event, and entering the enclosure you are assuming all liability and risks for yourselves and/or your children and are therefore agreeing to not hold Meta Soul Yoga Studio or Westmeister Farms accountable for any injury, damage, bite, scratch, illness, infection, disease, death or other medical, physical, traumatic, or emotional damage you may suffer by attending this class from the exercise itself, the animal(s), or the property. When you sign the waivers and attend, you are agreeing that you understand you are waiving the right to any legal action or otherwise against Meta Soul Yoga Studio, Westmeister Farm, any animal, or any employee within either party for any injury or damage that occurs to you, your child, or your belongings. Anyone is welcome to participate outside of the enclosure where they can enjoy the otters with a barrier to avoid these risks.

*A tour of the farm is not part of the event price. The farm does often offer a farm tour after at an additional cost, so feel free to keep it in mind while planning; however, this is very specific to guide availability each day so we cannot guarantee a tour after. If youre planning a trip and want to factor it in keep a flexible hour and a half to two hours open after class. We do offer tours 98% of the time for an additional price.
